“Masks on the Move” All students in grades JK-12, staff, and visitors are required to wear a mask whenever unable to maintain a 6 ft. spacing from students/staff, when in common areas including building hallways, and when using district transportation services.
The Sisseton School District’s application for free school breakfast and lunch has been approved by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The school district will provide free breakfast and lunch for all students enrolled at Westside Elementary, Sisseton Middle School, and Sisseton High School. If your student wishes to purchase extra entrees or milk, this must be paid for with cash at the time of the purchase. This program will run through the end of the 2020-21 school year. The regular cost of meals will begin again with the start of the 2021-22 school year. Meal charges since October 1, 2020 have credited back into the student food service account. This funding will remain in the student food service account for use in the 2021-22 school year.
Sisseton School District Virtual Learner Meal Order
Free meals will be provided to Virtual Academy students enrolled at Westside Elementary, Sisseton Middle School, or Sisseton High School. Students must be enrolled in the Sisseton School District to participate. Meals will be available for pick up between the times of 12:30-1:00 PM at Sisseton High School. Stop in the business office between these times if you wish to pick up a meal. Meals must be picked up between 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. A sign will be displayed on the door indicating the pickup location. Meals can only be picked up by the enrolled student, or the student’s parent/guardian. Please wear a mask when entering the facility to pick up the meals. Virtual Academy Student Meals Sign-up
If the Department of Health has contacted you regarding your status as close contact to someone who has tested positive for COVID – 19 or if you have tested positive for Covid-19 you may request an employer letter.
