Because children don’t come with instruction manuals, SDPB is partnering with a company called Bright by Text. Bright by Text provides free tips, information, and resources to help all parents and caregivers give every child a bright beginning.
This text messaging service delivers actionable information from trusted early childhood experts to parents and caregivers of young children — from prenatal to age eight — to support healthy child development and build strong, resilient families.
SDPB is working with local early childhood experts to provide localized information for parents and caregivers.

A FREE flu shot clinic will be held on Wednesday, October 11, from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the Ben Reifel concourse. This is available to all community residents, ages 6 months - 65 years.

Sisseton School District (Sisseton K12) has implemented a new communication tool called "Rooms". This unified communication system is for parents and guardians to communicate with their child's teachers. SD Lions Club came to Westside in September to complete vision screenings. Thank you to Nurses Robyn Begay and Sara Johnson for scheduling this. Letters are in the mail if your child has been recommended to see an eye doctor. Please contact Nurse Robyn Begay or Sara Johnson with any further questions.
