The K-2 Christmas Concert last night was outstanding. It is evident our young learners are daily taught procedures for concert performance. They were all amazing! Thank you Miss Z for sharing your passion for life, serving others and above all music with our learners. We are grateful for you. Thank you to all parents, guardians,family and community members for attending this theater concert performance. It is a time we get to celebrate the beauty of the season, take in a professional theater setting and appreciate the music learning, growth and achievement of our children. Merry Christmas!

Sisseton School District Concert Schedule: K-2nd grade on Fri., Dec. 6th. 3rd & 4th grade on Fri., Dec. 13th MS/HS (5th-12th grade) on Mon., Dec. 16th. All Concerts will begin at 7:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center.

Ms. A's preschool learners have become published authors and illustrators. They have written a book titled 'Our Helping Hands'. This week they dedicated copies of their book to Dr. Moen and Mrs. Hansen for the school library. This is an outstanding achievement for our preschool class! We are proud of you!

The Sisseton School District Native American Parent Committee meeting will be held Wednesday, December 11, from 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. in the Sisseton HS/MS Multipurpose Room.

Thank you JOM staff Jianna Wolf and Jess Zephier for organizing a day for students to wear their ribbon skirts and shirts for Native American Heritage month.

Amy Currence from Wells Fargo Bank came to Kindergarten today and read 'Lily Learns about Wants and Needs'. Wells Fargo has six different read aloud books to share with young learners about saving, spending and the value of money. Each book has a craft to follow up with after the story. Thank you Amy Currence for sharing your time with us today. We look forward to having you visit again soon.

Miss Tolin's Kindergarten class has been learning about deciduous and evergreen trees. They went for a learning nature walk and located trees they have been learning about this week.

Weekly community visit for BINGO at Tekakwitha Living Center and Edgewood! Thank you to all that make this possible, our fourth graders enjoy this time each week.

On 'Thankful Thursday' we are especially thankful and proud of our fourth graders. Today, these girls coordinated to wear their ribbon skirts together. They all shine bright each day!

Save the Dates: Join the Sisseton Special Education Department for sessions presented by the South Dakota Parent Connection on Autism and Related Disorders. The sessions will be live-streamed in the Sisseton School District Multipurpose Room. All are welcome to attend. The next session is November 18 from 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.

It was an outstanding day at Westside today. Ms. Karen Abaquita's class under the direction of Miss Z our music teacher sang at Tekakwitha Living Center and Edgewood. Our local Veterans from Legion Auxiliary and VFW visited all classrooms today for a learning opportunity about flag etiquette, veterans and respect for our country. Our day concluded by waving the flags as the convoy drove by. Thank you for your service! #PublicSchoolProudofOurVeterans
