Attendance Matters!

The Sisseton School District Native American Parent Committee meeting will be held Wednesday, December 11, from 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. in the Sisseton HS/MS Multipurpose Room.

Students in Mrs. Stickland's science classes have been working on distinguishing between digital and analog signals. The students then broke their own digital codes to make a mosaic including the whole 8th grade.

We are thankful for each of you. Have a safe Thanksgiving break.
School will resume on Monday, December 2, 2024.

Just as Mrs. Meagan Deutsch's fifth graders reached the part in the story where winter in Narnia is beginning to melt, in real life we are preparing for our first snow of the season. ❄️ Students created their own first snow using paint and their fingers as they listened to the story this afternoon.








Attention 5th grade parents and guardians - You are invited to the DARE Graduation Ceremony for your 5th grader on November 22 at 1:30 in the Performing Arts Center.

Attention 7th and 8th grade boys basketball players: The first practice for the basketball season will be Wednesday, November 20 @ 3:30. Please make sure you have practice clothes and shoes.

Last week our 6th graders had a great time completing their atmosphere density column lab. Students explored how altitude increases, the density of the atmosphere decreases within the atmospheric layers.

There is a parent meeting for students participating in gymnastics on Tuesday, November 12.

The 6th grade class used their creativity to create a fall-tastic song in Chrome Music Lab Songmaker or by using the piano.


School pictures will be sent home with students today at Sisseton Middle School. Information for ordering more pictures is included in the packet. For retakes, all pictures must be returned, and there is a $10 retake fee. Retakes are November 19. Please contact Tyra Gefroh Photography for any questions or concerns.

The South Dakota Services for the Deaf (SDSD) will conduct free hearing screenings at our school for grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 11th
This year, hearing screenings will take place November 7th, 2024
If your child does not pass the hearing screening, our facility will contact you with the results. Rescreens or further testing can be completed at no charge, with the pediatric audiologist at
