Our Smarter Balanced state testing begins next week. The 5th and 6th graders will be testing during their ELA and math class time. The 7th graders will test periods 2 and 3. The 8th graders will test periods 5 and 6. We are excited for our students to SHOW what they KNOW.

The end of the 3rd quarter is Wednesday, March 13.
Spring Break is March 14-15.
Quarter 4 will start on Monday, March 18, 2024.
The Sisseton School District Special Education department will host a parent and staff training on Thursday, March 21, from 4:15-5:30 p.m. This month's topic is "Transition Considerations: Planning for the Future...Guardianship & Alternatives to Guardianship". The meeting will be held in the Multipurpose Room. All are welcome to attend.
Due to the State Girls' Basketball tournament, Thursday, March 7, is now a staff professional development day. Students will not have school on March 7-8, 2024.
The Sisseton Middle School student council will be sponsoring I Hate Winter Dress-up Days February 20-February 23.

There's a lot happening at Sisseton Middle School today. Parent Teacher Conferences are from 4:00-8:00 in the classrooms and the Science Fair is happening in the PAC with public viewing from 1:00-3:00 and again this evening. Stop in and see what your students have been working on.

Our 6th grade Science students did an Oreo lab to represent the different plate tectonic boundaries. Our students enjoyed the lesson AND the cookies!
