Staff Professional Development Day
The Sisseton Special Education Department is recognizing staff who go above and beyond for the students they serve. Congratulations to Ward Rumans, school psychologist, for being named Staff Star! Ward is helpful to students and staff. We appreciate his dedication and commitment to our school district!
Congratulations to Amanda Hillestad, STEAM teacher at Westside Elementary, who was named the South Dakota Science Teaching Association 2025 Outstanding Elementary Science Teacher. K-5 classroom teachers or educators who provide STEM programming for grades K-5 are eligible for this award. Mrs. Hillestad will be recognized for this award during the SD STEM Ed Conference recognition luncheon at the Huron Events Center on Friday, February 7. She will receive a certificate of recognition and a $1,000 award. Congratulations to Mrs. Hillestad for receiving this prestigious award!

The Sisseton School District's last day of school before winter break is December 20, 2024. Staff return on Friday, January 3, 2025. Students return on Monday, January 6, 2025.

K-2nd grade on Fri., Dec. 6th.
3rd & 4th grade on Fri., Dec. 13th
MS/HS (5th-12th grade) on Mon., Dec. 16th.
All Concerts will begin at 7:00 pm in the Performing Arts Center.
